After finishing the latest post just a bit ago, I went to watch a movie (but obviously couldn't stop thinking HillCrest) and realized that putting all the initial disappointment and confusion into words and a post really marked the end of the huge wave of initial sadness about the situation. During the movie, I started thinking about how much the school could really benefit from text books, white boards, a water tank and/or playground, and how much a year of rent off Isaac and Elizabeth's shoulders could help. And now, I'm getting excited because I KNOW this is absolutely an attainable goal, not just the hope that was a new building. So, I apologize again for the negative-natured post that lies just below, but I'm preparing a way to tell Isaac that I don't think we should get a car. Instead we should work on improving what HillCrest is with the donations we've been given. My mood is (almost) completely shifted now as I see a good future for HillCrest. While I would have loved to have been able to build them a new school and get them all new everything inside the school, we can make some amazing improvements to the quality of education within HillCrest. The building doesn't make a school great, but with such an amazing amount of donations and the passion Isaac and Elizabeth have for HillCrest, it could be a top school in Arusha. Thank you again to everyone for the support, and sorry for the whiney post below. I promise that's the first and last of them :)
